He has endowed every moment of this month with endless blessings and endless welfare. There are many reasons why this month is so virtuous.

Here are 10 reasons Why Ramadan is Virtuous?

Fasting and resurrection

The arrival of the month of Ramadan occurs mainly with the message of Ramadan and Tarabi. This is the extraordinary period of the month of Ramadan. Therefore, every Muslim must take care of these two issues. Irshad said, ‘O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you. So that you may be pious. ‘(Surat al-Baqara, 183). In another verse Irshad has said, ‘… so whoever of you gets this month (Ramadan), he must fast. And if any of you is ill or on a journey, he will fill the same number at another time. ‘(Surat al-Baqara, verse: 185)

Abu Hurairah (RA) said: When the month of Ramadan came, the Prophet (SA) said,

‘The blessed month of Ramadan has happened to you. Allah has made the fasting of this month obligatory on you…

(Musnad Ahmad, Hadith: 6148)

Paradise has a unique door called Ryan, through which only the fasting people will enter. No one else will be able to come through that door. (Muslim, Hadith 1152). And the person he comes through the Ryan Gate will never be thirsty again.

Abu Hurairah (RA) said: The first reward of a person who enjoys the month of Ramadan, who observes fasting and Qiyam correctly, is as pure from sins at the end of Ramadan as the day he was born from his mother’s womb. (Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 696)

Intentionally breaking the fast without an excuse supported by Islamic law is considered a violation of the essential obligations and destroys the foundations of Islam. The Prophet (SA) said,

‘Whoever abandons a fast in Ramadaan without any excuse or illness, if he fasts for a lifetime instead of that fast, then that one fast will not be compensated.’

(Tirmidhi, Hadith: 623)

The revelation of the Qur’an

The month of Ramadan is the month of the revelation of the Qur’an. In the same month, the full Qur’an was sent down from Laohe Mahfuz to Baitul Izzat in the first heaven together. And the revelation of the Prophet (SA) began in this month. Irshad has said, “The month of Ramadan, in which the Qur’an has been revealed, which distinguishes between clear guidance for mankind and the right and the wrong.” (Surat al-Baqara, 175)

Not only the Qur’an, but all the divine books including the Sahifa, Torah, Psalms and Injil of Ibrahim (AS) have been revealed in this month.

Recitation of the Qur’an

This is the month of revelation of the Qur’an as well as the month of recitation of the Qur’an. The month of learning and teaching the Qur’an. The month of purifying the Qur’an. The month of memorizing and memorizing the Qur’an. The month of listening and reciting the Qur’an.

The Prophet (SA) said, ‘Fasting and the Qur’ aan will intercede for the slave on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will answer, O God! I forbade him to eat and drink during the day. Please accept my recommendation. And the Qur’an will say, I prevented him from sleeping at night. So take my advice about him. Then their advice will be accepted. ‘(Musnad Ahmad, Hadith 728)

Discussing the biography of the Salaf Salehin, it can be seen that they and their family members used to recite the Qur’an many times during Ramadan.

The reward of the period is multiplied.

This month is the month of reward for the good deeds of the believers. The best time to trade in the Hereafter. Traders have such special seasons — when there is a bustling business. Earnings are higher than at any other time of the year, just as Ramadan is the best season for business in the Hereafter. The Prophet (SA) said,

“Any supererogatory act of worship in the month of Ramadaan is equal to the obligatory act of worship in another month, and any obligatory act of worship is equal to 70 obligatory acts of worship in another month.”

Declaration of welfare

The gates of paradise are opened this month. The gates of hell are closed. The Prophet (SA) said, ‘When the first night of Ramadaan arrives, the evil jinn and the Shaytaan are chained. The gates of hell are closed, not a single door is opened, and the gates of paradise are opened, not a single entry is closed. Another announcer continues to announce: O hope of welfare! Go ahead. O candidate of misfortune! Stop. Every night of this month, Allah saves innumerable people from hell. (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 72)

Acceptance of prayers and deliverance from hell

In this month the prayers of innumerable people are accepted. The application is granted. The name of hell is removed from the list of hell, liberation from hell is declared. So this month we have to do more and more good deeds. You have to repent. Must seek deliverance from hell. All applications must be submitted to the court of the Merciful God. The Prophet (SA) said, ‘Surely Allaah saves innumerable people from hell every day and night of the month of Ramadaan. And every believing servant accepts one prayer.(Musnad Ahmad, Hadith: 8450). The prayers of three persons are not returned: the prayers of fasting, until iftar. Blessings of the just ruler. Benefits of the oppressed. (Sahih Ibn Hibban, Hadith: 3428)

To be forgiven

It is the month of atonement and forgiveness of sins. The Prophet (SA) said,

‘The five daily prayers, from one Friday to another Friday and from one Ramadaan to another Ramadaan, erase the sins if the poet survives the sins.’

(Muslim, Hadith: 233)

Collection of power and path of worship for the whole year

Ramadan is the best month. The month of Ramadan is the chief of the twelve months. The Prophet (SA) said,

‘By Allaah! For Muslims, there has never been a better month than Ramadan, and for hypocrites, there has never been a month of more harm than Ramadan. Because the believers gather the strength and path of worship in this month (for the whole year). And the hypocrites explore the indifference and faults of the people in it. This month is a spoil for the believer and a cause of loss for the hypocrite. ‘

(Musnad Ahmad, Hadith: 637)

Generosity

The Prophet (SA) used to give a lot. This month he would increase the number of donations many times over. Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) said that Rasulullah Akram (SAW) was the greatest benefactor among the people. His generosity increased even more in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel (peace be upon him) used to meet him. Gabriel (peace be upon him) used to come every night of Ramadan, and they used to recite the Qur’an to each other. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was more generous than the beneficent wind. (Muslim, Hadith: 2306)

The Prophet (SA) said, ‘Whoever breaks the fast of a fasting person, he will receive a similar reward. But the reward of fasting will not be diminished in the least.(Tirmidhi, Hadith: 606)

Lailatul Qadr

This month has the best month of a thousand months, Lailatul Qadr. Worshipping on this night brings more rewards than praying on a thousand nights. Irshad said,

Lailatul Qadr is better than a thousand months. On that night, the angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) descended to earth with every good thing by the command of their Lord. That night is complete peace, which lasts till Fajr
